What the check covers

Every car is inspected and road-tested before it is released to you. If it fails, it is not handed over — a replacement goes out instead.

  • Cleaned first, so damage is visible rather than hidden
  • Engine started: no warning light stays on
  • Brake test and a short road test
  • Tyres checked for a flat, a bad cut or dangerous damage
  • Air conditioning blowing cold
  • Lights, indicators, wipers, washer water, windows and locks
  • Spare wheel, tools and vehicle papers on board
  • Fuel and odometer recorded, then photographed with you at handover

Insurance

What the cover includes is not confirmed yet
The car is insured, and the terms are confirmed with you at handover before you sign. We have seen more than one description of what that cover includes, so we are getting it in writing before we publish it here. The excess is not confirmed. We will not guess at it. Insurance and the permit has what we can say today.

Price

The same price for any RAV4 in the fleet. The permit and additional drivers are set out on prices. Nothing is charged on this website. You pay at handover and receive a receipt.
