How it works

  1. Step 1: Send us your dates, your flight number and how many people are driving
  2. Step 2: We confirm the car with the provider and come back with the amount due
  3. Step 3: Send a licence and passport scan, and we file the permit
  4. Step 4: You are met on arrival, the car is handed over in about ten minutes, and you pay there
  5. Step 5: You keep the same support thread until the car is back

What we will not do

  • Summarise insurance cover we have not seen in writingThe vehicle is insured, and the terms are confirmed with you at handover.

Answers before you ask

The questions travellers send us most often.

Do I need a Zanzibar driving permit?
Yes. A Zanzibar permit is required in addition to your national licence. We file it before you land — send a licence and passport scan for each driver when you reserve. It is charged separately, per driver.
Who takes the payment, and when?
You pay at the car, when it is handed over, and you get the provider's receipt. Nothing is charged on this website and no card details are stored here. You are told the amount before you travel.
Is the mileage limited?
No. Mileage within Zanzibar is unlimited, so the price does not change with how far you drive.
What if my flight is late?
Nothing to do. We track the flight's actual arrival rather than its scheduled time, so a delay moves the handover with it. Message us once you have landed and cleared immigration.
